Job Description: Summary: This position is a Project Engineer (Engineer I, II, or III) within the Hydrology & Hydraulics and GIS Services Practice Area, which is a team that works together to provide various drainage impact analyses, watershed studies and flood damage reduction solutions to our public and private sector clients. The person in this role will work in a collaborative environment with the team and provide technical support in preparing hydrologic and hydraulic models for the various projects within the firm. The role will also include preparation of reports documenting analyses and results, attending meetings with clients, and coordinating with team members throughout the firm to ensure drainage solutions meet the needs of each project. General Responsibilities: Project Engineer will be responsible for applying standard practices and techniques in evaluating drainage conditions and solutions for the overall drainage design effort. Provide technical support with the help of a team to produce hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and reports as requested. Work in a collaborative team environment to accomplish project goals, contributing to the success of each project. Project Engineer will interact with the Client (internal or external) and must have good communication skills. Contribute data/findings for use in technical reports, feasibilities, designs, documents, and oral/written presentations. Required Education: Bachelor of Science, Civil Engineering or related degree Certified Engineer-In-Training (E.I.T.) is preferred Required Experience: 1 – 3+ years experience in H&H analysis and design Proficient in commonly used H&H software (HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS) Preferred experience with ICPR or SWMM and ArcMap; Experience with HEC-RAS Unsteady and 2D a plus Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Strong communication and writing skills preferred.
